Board Recruitment

Neighbourhood Information Post (N.I.P.) is a non-profit, community-based organization, which serves the downtown eastern core of Toronto since 1971. The services that we provide include information and referral, mail and message (for the homeless), telephone and computer (Internet) access, supportive counseling, form-filling, advocacy, translation, housing support, and an annual free income-tax clinic. The majority of our clients is extremely disadvantaged, isolated and/ or marginalized (e.g. people who are homeless/under-housed, refugees and immigrants who have recently arrived in Canada, women leaving abusive relationships, people who have a history of being in conflict with the law, people with mental health problems).
